“Alabama Supreme Court Rules That Frozen
Embryos Are ‘Children” – Taylor Mitchell, Huffington Post

What came first the chicken or the egg?
The Alabama Supreme Court
has finally answered this age old question.
If frozen embryos are children
than an egg is a chicken
& salmon roe are already fish.
Roe, roe, roe your boat
Gently relentlessly down the stream.

After Roe vs. Wade was lost
a war of words/worlds blew up
on blogs & in comments sections
after editorials from CNN on to the bald ass-
sements of Fox News’s talking heads,
convos that flushed thousands of trolls
from under the murky bridges of social media.

The observation that got the skirmish going:
some conservatives care more about
a collection of splitting cells, an unborn embryo
than the full-bodied, already born children
& teens shot to disembodiment’s bloody pieces.
Save the embryo by all means,
but the killing of children
& teens is nothing to protest.

Our young ones caught red-handed,
red-hearted, red-livered—
the sad leaking brain drain on school grounds—
while fixed in the bitter scope and bite of AK-15 bullets.
The remedy for mass murder
by the conservative Christian right,
(Wrong.)
“I’ll say a prayer for you.”
