The morning yawns<br \/>\nazure beyond the fruit sellers.<br \/>\nThe Mediterranean beckons<br \/>\nto fishermen &amp; stones.<br \/>\nPleasure bursts into froth,<br \/>\nwhite &amp; cold enough to drink.<br \/>\nI\u2019ll go everywhere. Why not? Kyoto,<br \/>\nRome, Paris, Port-Au-Prince.<br \/>\nBack in Brooklyn, a woman murmurs<br \/>\nin her bed while I feast. What we taste<br \/>\nin sleep we carry back to our bodies,<br \/>\nlingering in the hunger the world<br \/>\ngives us.
