Hidden are her teeth that do not smile
\non command, teeth carved from the cay
\n <\/p>\n
where Atabey gave birth to the Caribbean
\nSea. Such royalty is unfit for a low income<\/p>\n
\ntenement. She\u2019s caught wind that the Grand
\nConcourse is merely a doppelganger<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
of the Middle Passage. Her hips are not child
\nbearing hips. They are factory strike<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
inciting hips. Hips that raise consciousness,
\nnot infants. Best believe she did not come<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
to this peninsula looking for a government
\ncheck. She came to build a rainforest<\/p>\n
\nupon this gully of busted radiators, to send the cat
\ncallers and councilmen scampering. <\/p>\n
