\ngreen tea bitter on tongue

\nHe was wearing a black suit
\nhis oil company was sued
\nrough earth where the drill descended
\nrough sky where the sun rendered
\nthe clouds useless
\nwhile the shape of his tongues
\ndrew pentagrams

\nHe had five tongues
\none for his red car
\none for his mansion
\none for his children
\none for his museum
\none for all men
\nwho always rooted
\nfor the home team

\nIn the darkness where robins nest
\nwhere Chernobyl\u2019s walls
\nare covered in marigold
\nwhere the earth springs hot
\nrock embers of coal
\nwhere the baby stirs
\nand the wombs grow old

\nShe crushes the leaves
\nshe builds small fires
\ntea of rusted plows
