\nand some man feels entitled
\nand deprived because other women
\ndidn\u2019t fuck him when he wanted,
\ndidn\u2019t devote herself to him.
\n 
\nI could be murdered because
\na husband out of work feels useless
\nwith media-bred anger like a chainsaw
\nrunning in his brain and the fault
\n 
\nhas to be mine because I\u2019m there.
\nI could have been killed because
\nI was a poor kid in the Detroit
\nghetto where bullets spray like spittle
\n 
\nand nobody cares what girl or boy
\nhappens to get in the explosive
\nway of revenge, profit, initiation
\nof some man whom rage entitles.
